Remember that Philadelphia is always busy in the fall, which is convention season, and make your hotel bookings in good time.
Another reasonably-priced option is the Best Western Center City Hotel, which is within 5 minutes' walk of the Academy. Be advised that since it is inexpensive (for Philadelphia) and offers free parking, this hotel is usually fully booked at Shell Show time. Make your bookings well in advance!
The Philadelphia Shell Club has reserved a block of rooms at the Windsor Suites Hotel at a discounted rate. These rooms will be held open on a first-come-first-served basis until one month before the show. Contact the hotel directly on 1(215)981-5678 or the central bookings department at 1(877)784-8379 and mention the 'shell show' block. The special rate applies from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th.
